You cannot begin to imagine the profound competitive advantage I’ve found having mastered the skill set that is uniquely presented in AP English – it’s unbelievable. I know many students going into engineering will, intuitively, think AP English shouldn’t be their area of focus – but AP English, NOT AP Maths, is the reason that I am getting distinctions for projects while my peers are not.

AP English is a place where one can be curious and ponder the parameters of reality, which is why it became the highlight of my week. It also enabled me to get into a university overseas.

AP English helped me sharpen my critical thinking skills as well as my writing skills. These came very much in handy during university where all (yes, all) of my course assignments were critical essays.

Cultivating your ability to articulate complex ideas is the key – it doesn’t matter what door you’re trying to open.
